Good Samaritan Medical Center

"Paws of Good Smaritan" If you have a dog, then you know how its presence makes you feel better when you are vulnerable. In hospitals, where most touch is painful or invasive, the touch of an animal is safe, non-threatening, and pleasant in times of pain and suffering for a patient. It is well established that touch is very important for the nourishment of our mind, body and spirit. That is why Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center is providing Animal Assisted Activities. Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) is designed to promote improvement in human physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive functioning. If you think you and your dog would like to participate in our (AAA) program and interact with patients to assist in their healing process, please contact us to learn how.
